Background
Shefabrook Ministries was founded in 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, by Pastors David and Anne Velu and a dedicated group of Christians. Their common goal was to develop their ministry abilities, reach out to the lost, heal the sick, and share God’s love and Word with those in need. This prophetic healing ministry focuses a strong emphasis on evangelism and church strengthening through training, teaching, equipping and activation.
David and Anne, the founders, moved to Australia in 2014 to continue their purpose of ministering, training, and teaching. Despite the distance, their evangelism outreach and mission activity continued, encompassing Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, and Singapore. As their passion for ministry increased, they began to care for believers in North Queensland, where they now reside.
The arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020 halted in-person international mission operations. Shefabrook Ministries, like many others, quickly adapted to the shifting conditions. David and Anne began to minister via various online platforms such as Zoom, Facebook Live, and Microsoft Teams. Shefabrook has also built a YouTube presence with the channel “Pastor Shefabrook” in order to reach a wider audience.
Shefabrook has remained devoted to equipping believers not only in North Queensland, but also through internet connections in New South Wales, Victoria, and around the world. Their commitment to disseminating the abundance of divine gifts is deeply entrenched in the name “Shefa,” which is derived from the Hebrew word. It is associated with “flow,” “abundance,” and “divine abundance.” “I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly,” Jesus declared in John 10:10b, asserting that all kindness flows from our Heavenly Father.
The call to make a positive difference continues unwavering at Shefabrook Ministries, as they continue to illuminate the path of hope and grace through Christ’s teachings.
Shefabrook Ministries has been meeting every Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at Dalrymple Road, Garbutt, in North Queensland, Australia, since early 2021. This meeting allows believers to come together, worship, and receive equipping that enlighten the way of hope and grace via Christ’s teachings.
Shefabrook Ministries has experienced countless amazing happenings that have reinforced the faith of its members over the years. Healing stories abound in the community, where the ill have found wholeness. There have also been testimonies of manifestations such as gold dust and anointing oil, which are said to be evidence of God’s presence and favour. During their gatherings, the ministry has also experienced an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which has resulted in spiritual breakthroughs and closer ties with the divine.
Pastors David and Anne Velu, along with a dedicated group of Christians, have remained faithful in their goal to equip believers both locally and globally throughout their journey.

Faith Statement
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things seen and unseen.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

- We believe in the ministry and gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe those gifts are for today. We believe in the importance of each believer being filled with the Holy Spirit by which believers are empowered and equipped for service.

- We believe in God’s Five Fold Ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers is being restored in the Body of Christ and in the Church.
- We believe that miracles come from God and are for His Glory to be revealed to believers and unbelievers alike.
